Dr. Arnab Majumdar
Dr. Arnab is a theoretical physicist by training, with a master's degree from IIT Kanpur and a PhD from Boston University. His academic work has covered transport and traffic, complex systems, biomedical engineering, and epidemiology. Since 2013, Arnab has been engaged in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and deep technology through his own startup. He has had the opportunity to consult on various projects for the World Bank Group, USAID, BlueCross/BlueShield, Data Driven Health, Flu Coalition and UNICEF, where he has contributed to the development of AI-driven solutions and healthcare products.
Some of Arnab’s work on epidemiology during the COVID-19 pandemic were leveraged by the Center for Disease Control. In short, Arnab is a physicist, researcher, and consultant with deep expertise in statistical physics and biomedical engineering. Over the course of his academic career, he has authored more than 40 research papers published in prestigious international peer-reviewed journals, including Nature, Physical Review Letters, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (USA), and the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. He is also a seasoned speaker, having presented at numerous conferences and forums engaging diverse audiences including physicists, medical professionals, and interdisciplinary researchers.
